CASE HISTORY
Patient details:
A 13 yrs old female resident of nalgonda came to hospital.
Chief complaint:
swelling of legs since 1 week
Shortness of breath since 1 week
Decreased urine output since 4 days.
History of present illness:
Patient was apparently asymptomatic 1 year back. Then she started developing swelling in the leg associated with fever, cough, weight loss and joint pain and loss of apettite for which she visited doctor where she was diagnosed with pedel edema which is putting type with no tenderness. Then she is under certain medication.And it was cured.
After which since 1 week she started developing swelling of leg again which is insidious in onset, and gradually progressive from foot to knee and associated with swelling of face .
She developed shortness of breath since 1 week which is of grade 2 type and increases during eating and walking with no aggregating and relieving factors.
She also has decreased urine output since 4 days.
History of past illness:
No diabetes
No thyroid
No asthama
No epilepsy
No other significant past history
Personal history:
Diet:Mixed
Apettite:lost
Bowel and bladder: abnormal
Sleep: inadequate
Addiction : No
Family History:
No significant family history
General examination:
Patient is consious and cooperative.
Pallor: No
Icterus: No
Clubbing of fingers: No
Cynosis: No

1.How long does it take to cure?
2.Is this swelling related to pedel edema that caused before?
